
A graduate of Lakeland University has returned to help lead the school for years to come.
Lakeland has announced that Reverand Kristal M. Klemme has been elected to a four-year term on the university’s Board of Trustees.
Klemme graduated from Lakeland in 2014 and has served as pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Plymouth since 2017, after receiving her Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary.
When describing the passion and views she brings to her work, the university stated, “Deeply committed to inclusive ministry, Klemme is passionate about sharing God’s love with all people and serving as a faithful presence of compassion and justice in the world.”
She has also served the community on various boards and committees with organizations such as the United Church of Christ Mental Health Network and the Wisconsin Conference United Church of Christ Placement and Transition Team.
She has also done work outside of church service with Mental Health America – Lakeshore.
