The student caught with a gun on the Green Bay Preble High School campus was back in court yesterday (November 4th).
The unnamed 16-year-old was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of Possession of Firearms on School Grounds, to which the court found him delinquent.
This means if the teen had been an adult, the act would have been a criminal offense.
The judge ordered the 16-year-old to be admitted to the Racine County YDCC Project, the Youth Development and Care Center, until his 18th birthday.
The teen was arrested in September after a loaded gun was found in his backpack, which was located in a locked classroom.
The teen was said to have been involved in a fight in the lunchroom prior to the weapon being found.
Since then, the Green Bay Area Public School District has implemented a clear bag and backpack policy.
