The City of Sheboygan may be moving one step closer to a serious overhaul at the marina.
Sheboygan’s Committee of the Whole will meet today (November 5th) in Council Chambers at 5:15 p.m., with all discussions centered around the proposed design project at the Harbor Centre Marina.
The meeting will open with a public comment period, allowing residents to voice comments, questions, or concerns regarding the project.
Then, City Administrator Casey Bradley will lead a presentation on the marina’s financial plan, TID 21 financials, and the RFP process.
Then, Edgewater Resources, the group tasked with formulating the design plan, will present its plan and its scope.
Documents provided by Edgewater reveal that the total project is estimated to cost $3.29 million and be broken down into four phases: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Contracts, and Construction Administration/Closeout.
Following the presentations, the Committee will discuss what they heard and potentially hold a vote to “enter into a contract for architectural design, engineering, and construction administration services” with Edgewater Resources.
This resolution comes before the Committee of the Whole after a recommendation of approval from the Sheboygan Public Works Committee by a 4-1 vote.
