
The plea hearing for the woman charged in the crash that injured the Prigges has been delayed.
30-year-old Kaitlyn Cress was due to enter a plea on 16 separate charges yesterday in the Shawano County Courthouse.
However, an amended complaint and an amended offer were filed, leading to the rescheduling of the hearing until January 30th, 2026.
Cress was behind the wheel of the vehicle that collided with Jason and Tina Prigge near the intersection of County Road R and Lily Pond Road in Shawano County on July 6th, 2024.
In total, Cress has been charged with two counts each of Reckless Driving-Cause Great Bodily Harm, 1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Operate with Restricted Controlled Substance, four counts of Injury by Use of a Vehicle while Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, and single counts of 2nd-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Deviating from Lane of Traffic, Operating Left of Center Causing Great Bodily Harm, Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.
