It’s official.
Tucker Kraft, who was on pace to catch the most passes for the most yardage in a single season of any tight end in franchise history, is out for the season.
An MRI this morning (November 3rd) confirmed that Kraft tore the ACL in his right knee in the third quarter in Green Bay’s 16-13 loss to Carolina at Lambeau Field.
The injury occurred after blocking on a running play, where it appeared he had inadvertently made contact with offensive lineman Sean Rhyan.
He was assisted off the field, then carted to the locker room.
It appears that Luke Musgrave will take over as the top tight end.
The Packers could also look for help outside the organization as the NFL trade deadline is at 3 p.m. Tuesday (November 4th).
