There will be a new face on Sheboygan’s Common Council.
The Council will meet tonight (November 3rd), and one of the most important pieces on their agenda will be an election to select a new Alder for District 4 following the resignation of Robert La Fave.
At the previous Common Council meeting on October 20th, Alder La Fave announced his resignation, effective immediately, after circumstances out of his control forced him to move outside of his district.
Candidates in the running to assume his seat on the Council include Alanza Grawien, Kris Johnson, Nicholas LaPoint, and Timm McDonald. Following a discussion with all four candidates, the Common Council will vote on who will be the next District 4 Alder.
Alder La Fave was elected to his position on the Council in the spring election in 2024, and whoever assumes his role will serve out the remainder of his term through the spring of next year.
