Days removed from National Cat Day, the Humane Society of Sheboygan County is in urgent need of kitten and foster supplies.
The Humane Society has said that their shelter and foster families from around the community are running dangerously low on essential supplies necessary for keeping their youngest and most vulnerable cats cared for.
At this time, items considered as a critical need for the shelter include heating pads for kittens, which can offer life-saving warmth, cuddle toys for neonatal kittens, and six-inch paper plates, which they are currently completely out of, despite needing them daily for wet food feedings.
Critical needs for foster families include large storage bags of 30 or more gallons and plastic laundry hampers.
Both of which help foster families transport or store supplies essential to raising multiple vulnerable kittens at a time.
Those looking to help can drop off donations to the Humane Society in Sheboygan, located at North 21st Street, during open hours or at the after-hours donation hutch.
Likewise, items can be purchased and shipped to the shelter directly by purchasing items from their Amazon or Chewy wishlists.
Links to both of these wishlists can be found online by visiting the Humane Society of Sheboygan County Facebook page.
