A fire at an area state forest has been contained by the City of Two Rivers Fire Department.
The department, Town of Two Rivers Firefighters, and mutual aid firefighting resources were called to Point Beach State Forest north of Neshotah Beach earlier this afternoon.
The fire at the forest has been contained, but crews are asking residents to avoid the area if possible as fire crews are staging in the north parking lot of the state park.
Two Rivers firefighters will provide additional information when it becomes available.
