Sheboygan residents are invited to see how a shelter for those experiencing homelessness operates.
The Sheboygan County Warming Center will be holding an open house on November 9th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ahead of opening for the season on November 12th.
During the open house, attendees will be able to tour the facility located within St. Luke United Methodist Church, located at 623 Ontario Avenue.
They will also be able to check out the Herb Kohler and Natalie Black Community Café, meet staff and volunteers, and learn how to help provide warmth and responsibility for the Warming Center’s guests during the winter months.
Those looking to help during the season can choose from numerous opportunities, including preparing warm meals.
Everyone is welcome to attend the open house to enjoy light refreshments, community connection, and a sneak peek behind the scenes to see what makes the Warming Center run smoothly each winter.
More information on the Warming Center, including how to volunteer, can be found by visiting scwarmingcenter.org.
