The Manitowoc County Recycling Center is making its annual hour change to county compost sites.
Beginning November 16, 2025, the Basswood Road and Woodland Drive Compost Sites’ hours will change.
The Basswood Road Compost Site will be open Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am until noon.
The Woodland Drive Compost Site will also close until April 2026.
Manitowoc County will still accept items, including brush, branches, and Christmas trees, that are under six inches in diameter and five feet long.
Some items not accepted include treated and untreated lumber, logs or stumps, or construction and demolition waste.
