More products sold in Wisconsin have been recalled for the presence of a foreign contaminant.
The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced that more than 127,000 pounds of Deli EXPRESS brand barbecue pulled pork sandwiches have been recalled due to possibly containing plastic.
The items in question are 5.5-ounce paper-wrapped sandwiches that will bear the establishment number EST. 2451.
The barbecue pulled pork sandwiches were produced at various dates between January 13th and October 15th and were shipped to retail locations nationwide, including grocery stores in Wisconsin.
The FSIS was made aware that these sandwiches may contain pieces of plastic, thanks to numerous consumer complaints reporting the issue.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them and instead throw them away or return them to their place of purchase.
