Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County is preparing to enter a new chapter.
The domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy organization has shared that Executive Director Deborah Lee will be stepping down from her role effective December 31st.
As this transition occurs, Jeanne McLellan will join Safe Harbor as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Next week Monday (November 3rd).
In her time with the organization, Lee has served as Associate Director and Community Outreach & Program Development Manager before becoming Executive Director in 2020.
Since then, Safe Harbor has been able to expand its presence in the community with enhanced services, outreach, and advocacy.
Regarding this change in leadership, Board President Sheri Murphy said, “We’re grateful for Deb’s years of service and the dedication she’s shown to Safe Harbor. As we look ahead, we’re excited to welcome Jeanne and continue building on the strong foundation that has been established.”
McLellan brings with her 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently as the Executive Director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Dane County.
