
The Big East Conference has released its All-Conference selections for football and volleyball, with one local school very well represented.
Starting with Volleyball, where Manitowoc Lutheran dominated the Red Division. Seniors Marissa Mehlhorn and Makiah Krause, along with Junior Ava Stuebs, received 1st team honors, with Mehlhorn also being named the Player of the Year.
Junior Brooke Duveneck and Sallieann Burrows earned 2nd team honors, while Senior Abbie Behnke was the sole Lancer to make the honorable mention list.
Also earning honorable mention status was Reedsville Senior Kayla Peterson.
The Lancers were also well represented on the football All-Conference selections list, especially on the offense.
Quarterback Jaymen Ott was named the Big East Conference Offensive Player of the Year, while his teammates, Wesley Hecker, Noah Dillon, Tristan Hulse, Collin Rounds, and Isaac Wagner all earned 1st team honors.
Noah Fictum was the only Lancer on the 2nd team list, while Drew Staudt, Levi Welch, Isaiah Muchka, and Josiah Martin were named honorable mention.
Defensively, Tristan Hulse, Collin Rounds, Wesley Hecker, and Brody Wieting made the 1st team list, with Cedar Grove-Belgium’s Jonah Banton being named the Defensive Player of the Year.
Earning 2nd team honors for Lutheran were Blake Ott and Trenton Schuettpelz, alongside Reedsville’s Caleb Schwahn and Tristen Verbeten. Defensive all-conference honorable mentions included Lutheran’s Noah Dillon, Trenton Schuettpelz, Isaac Wagner, and Isaiah Muchka.
