A fire in Kaukauna has caused tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of damage.
The Kaukauna Fire Department was called at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Sunday (October 26th) to the report of a garage fire on Armstrong Court after a neighbor noticed the flames.
Fire crews arrived on scene to discover smoke and flames emanating from the front of a detached two-and-a-half-car garage.
Firefighters worked to knock down the exterior fire and then cut a hole in the garage door to attack the blaze inside.
The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes of arrival on scene.
No injuries were reported to fire personnel or residents, as no one was home at the time due to the home being in the final stages of renovations.
However, the garage fire is estimated to have caused approximately $40,000 in damage.
At this time, the cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation.
The Kaukauna Fire Department was assisted in its response by the Kaukauna Police Department and Kaukauna Utilities.
