The alleged shooter in a Sheboygan Falls homicide is set to return to court.
Court records show that 36-year-old Luis E Cruz Burgos will be back in a Sheboygan County courtroom tomorrow (October 29th) for his preliminary hearing after being delayed numerous times.
The delays in proceedings came as Cruz Burgos was still without legal counsel; however, he has since been appointed representation through the Public Defender’s Office.
The 36-year-old has been charged with one count of First-Degree Reckless Homicide in the fatal shooting that took the life of a Canadian international, 32-year-old Giovanni Michael Robinson.
On September 24th, the Sheboygan Falls Police Department responded to the 600 block of Monroe Street.
Upon arrival, they found Robinson, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest.
Life-saving measures were rendered; however, he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation that followed named Cruz Burgos a suspect, who was in the area completing a delivery while working as a DoorDash driver.
Ahead of Cruz Burgos’ hearing tomorrow, he remains in the Sheboygan County Jail on a $2 million cash bond.
