The Door County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an air tank explosion incident.
The department was called to the Harbour Village Resort and Campground in the 5800 block of Highway 42 in the Town of Egg Harbor on Saturday (October 25th) just before 7:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, the responding deputy found a partially dismantled building due to the explosion and found a deceased person outside.
Chief Deputy Kyle Veeser says the incident remains under investigation, and no other details were released about how the explosion happened or the identity of the victim.
Emergency personnel from the Egg Harbor Fire Department, Egg Harbor Emergency Medical Responders, Door County Emergency Services, and the Door County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
