A Milwaukee area man was arrested in Fond du Lac County with nearly two pounds of meth.
A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on I-41 on August 7th, and learned the driver was on parole for an armed robbery and heroin delivery case.
While the man was in possession of $2,700 in cash, there was no contraband located in his vehicle, and ultimately the Deputy was forced to let him go.
However, on August 27th, the man was again stopped on I-41, but this time, K9 RIP conducted a sniff on the vehicle and alerted his handler to the presence of drugs.
The search uncovered 1.8 pounds of methamphetamine, 8 grams of fentanyl, and $1,800.
The 33-year-old man, whose name was not released, was arrested on a federal charge of Possession with Intent to Distribute 500 Grams or More of Methamphetamine, a charge that carries a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.
