
Two Rivers competed in a WIAA Division Two Cross Country Sectional on Friday in Waupaca.
The Raiders girls finished ninth as a team, with the highlight of the day being sophomore Allie Gallagher placing seventh and qualifying for next Saturday’s WIAA State meet in Wisconsin Rapids. Luxemburg Casco placed fourth as a team, Denmark was ninth, and Sturgeon Bay placed 11th. Notre Dame won the girls team title, with Winneconne placing second. Both teams qualify for the state meet.
Luxemburg-Casco junior Claire DuChateau and Sturgeon Bay sophomore Delaney Skiba are also headed to Wisconsin Rapids.
For the boys, Two Rivers placed 10th. Notre Dame swept the team competition by capturing the boys’ title, and they’ll be joined at state by Luxemburg-Casco, who finished second.
Denmark finished 12th, and Sturgeon Bay came in 14th place. The top finisher for Two Rivers was senior Dominic Springstube, who finished 29th.
