The votes have been counted, and the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin has been revealed.
1000 Island Search and Rescue Airboats, built in Marion, won the 10th annual competition, put on by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and Johnson Financial Group, beating out nearly 150 products.
These airboats are specifically designed to tackle winter conditions and are used by municipalities and federal agencies to rescue individuals who are lost or in precarious winter conditions.
The 1000 Island Airboat Team added, “The lives of our customers—and the people they’re rescuing where no one else can reach—depend on the work we do every day. Whether it’s a small volunteer department or the U.S. Coast Guard, we’re honored they place that level of trust in us.”
