A woman from Appleton is heading to prison for her role in a fatal car crash last year.
Court records show that 26-year-old Amanda L. Wolfgram was in a Winnebago County courtroom late last week for her sentencing hearing after being convicted of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle and OWI Causing Injury in August.
At last week’s sentencing hearing, Judge Michael Gibbs ordered Wolfgram to spend 15 years in prison, followed by 15 years on extended supervision.
In addition to the two charges she was found guilty of, 12 other counts filed against her, including Felony Bail Jumping and Possession of THC, were dismissed.
WHBY reports that the fatal crash took place in July of last year on De Pere Street in Menasha.
Wolfgram was drunk behind the wheel when she collided head-on with another vehicle.
As a result, a man in the other vehicle died while a woman and a 10-year-old child were also injured.
