A lift station in Manitowoc will be studied because it’s starting to show its age.
The Manitowoc Common Council approved a hydraulic review of the Archer Lift Station, which is used to pump wastewater from a lower elevation to a higher point to get to the city’s wastewater treatment facility.
A memo from the city shows that they are seeking guidance on replacement options, taking into account the anticipated increase in future flows at the station.
Manitowoc public infrastructure officials are looking to get a summary of existing pumping equipment, hydraulic conditions, and other information.
The review is scheduled to take about three to six weeks to complete.
