A court hearing in Manitowoc County for a convicted child sex offender has been delayed yet again.
Court records show that 46-year-old John P. Albright’s initial appearance has been pushed back for a third time, after a hearing held on Monday (October 20th).
Albright is facing one count each of First and Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child while currently serving 12 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a child in Sheboygan County.
At Monday’s adjourned initial appearance, the court determined that the 46-year-old does not qualify for public defender representation, meaning he is still without legal counsel.
This is the third such initial appearance made by Albright in Manitowoc County, who will now have two months to find a lawyer to represent him.
Court documents also reveal that these charges in Manitowoc County stem from incidents that took place in 1994 and 1997, while being recently convicted for sexually assaulting a child in Sheboygan County in 2008.
Albright will return to court for his fourth adjourned initial appearance on December 15th.
