
A Marketing Agency in Sheboygan Falls is in the running for a national award after its work with the Sheboygan County Food Bank.
FifthColor has shared that they have been named a finalist for the Anthem Awards for telling the important story behind the Food Bank’s Food for Thought for Kids program.
Specifically, FifthColor is one of 16 finalists nationwide in the running for the Humanitarian Action & Services Awareness Award, one of the numerous awards handed out annually during the Anthem Awards, which highlight social impact work.
Food for Thought for Kids, also known as the weekend backpack program, provides over 600 students in Sheboygan County living with hunger with healthy, free meals to take home on Fridays, ensuring they are well fed away from school.
Currently, 26 schools in the county participate in the program as approximately 5,000 children in Sheboygan County face hunger daily.
The work done by FifthColor not only spread the word regarding the program over the past year, but highlighted its significance as food scarcity continues to be an issue for communities across Wisconsin and the country.
