A Wisconsin staple is set to be celebrated nationally next week.
National Cheese Curd Day will be recognized on October 25th, and 3 Sheeps Brewing will be joining in the festivities.
The local brewery will be hosting a Cheese Curd Day Festival at their taproom from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., featuring numerous area businesses competing for the best cheese curd in the city.
Competitors include the Black Pig, BoMallie’s, Bourbon Street, Holler n Hills, Legend Larry’s, Local Press, Miesfeld’s, Ryan’s On York, Silver Fern, and Urbane.
While special Cheese Curd Day festivities will come to an end at 3:00 p.m., the celebration will continue throughout the night, featuring live music from 4 on the Floor beginning at 6:00 p.m.
When discussing the growth this event has seen recently, 3 Sheeps founder Grant Pauly said, “It’s been amazing to see so many local businesses get behind it and just see the excitement this event has generated online. What started as a goofy way to celebrate Wisconsin culture has turned into something we’ll be talking about for a long time.”
