The Wisconsin Army National Guard has once again met its recruitment target.
This is the second consecutive year that the Recruiting and Retention Battalion has reached its goal.
Lieutenant Colonel Shannon Hellenbrand got the ball rolling with a new approach to recruitment before Manitowoc County native Lieutenant Colonel Jesse Augustine took over the role.
He previously told SeehaferNews.com that she focused on “building and establishing a winning culture here, rebuilding relationships inside of the schools and communities, and in getting back and making it a viable option for so many of Wisconsin’s residents.”
In regard to meeting this year’s goals, LTC Augustine noted, “This achievement isn’t just about hitting a number, it’s about strengthening Wisconsin. Each new soldier represents someone ready to respond to floods, blizzards, pandemics, social unrest and other emergencies that impact local families.”
Additionally, by building strong partnerships with schools, families, and communities across the state, the Recruiting and Retention Battalion team has recorded 22 consecutive months of year-over-year recruitment increases.
