A local organization is offering two support groups for victims of sexual assault.
InCourage is offering a free Survivor Circle class on the first Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.
The support group is meant for those who have survived sexual violence to join together in a safe and confidential group setting at the InCourage office on Reed Avenue.
The domestic abuse treatment center is also hosting another special group called Secondary Victim Support.
This group is for parents who have overwhelming emotions and uncertainty after learning that a child has experienced a sexual assault.
The four-week support program will help a group get understanding, guidance, and connection with others who’ve had similar experiences.
Registration for this group is required and must be done by Tuesday, November 4th.
The first meeting will be on November 18th.
