Authorities in Madison are looking into a violent altercation that involved high school students.
The altercation occurred at Madison West High School on Wednesday morning.
Police responded to a report of battery at around 11:35 a.m.
One student sustained serious injuries and required hospitalization.
The Madison Police Department is working alongside the Madison Metropolitan School District to determine what led to the incident.
