Manitowoc Public Utilities is looking to help residents get ready for the winter season.
Applications are now being accepted for energy and weatherization assistance through the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP).
Applicants will be asked a series of questions, including their household income and the number of people in the home. MPU will work with residents to work within their budget to ensure they stay up to date on their utility payments.
The program is also a collaboration with Partners for Community Development, which will be accepting applications through May 15th, 2026.
The application process may take between four and six weeks to complete.
