Former Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler announced he will not enter the 2026 governor’s race.
Instead, he intends to support the party’s eventual nominee.
He is also calling the race a rare chance to transform Wisconsin politics.
Wikler also cited a desire to focus on family.
Current Democratic candidates include Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.
