The City of Sheboygan will be joining Manitowoc and other municipalities across Wisconsin in holding No Kings rallies this weekend.
Sheboygan’s rally will take place on Saturday (October 18th) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Organizers and protesters will be gathering at Peace Park to exercise their First Amendment rights, joining those from 2,500 cities across the nation.
Regarding the message behind these rallies, the group stated, “No Kings is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon…uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.”
Much like Manitowoc’s rally, No Kings will also be holding a food drive with all items to be donated to the Sheboygan County Food Bank.
Additional drop-off sites for the food drive will include Paradigm Coffee and Music and the Sheboygan Democratic Office.
No Kings has also stated, “A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action…Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.”
