A local cross-country runner continues his domination of Manitowoc County runners.
Roncalli Junior Elliott Onesti has been the fastest male runner in Manitowoc County all season long and again held that spot in the Week 8 Cross Country Honor Roll, put together by Manitowoc Lutheran Head Coach Abbey Bubolz.
He bested Manitowoc Lincoln Senior Lucas Gallegos by 13 seconds last week as the end of the regular season draws near.
On the girls’ side, Manitowoc Lincoln Junior Natalie Portmann made her way back to the top in dramatic fashion.
The Shipbuilder not only beat out all other runners in the County, but she also set a new school record with a time of 18:50, the fastest time by a Manitowoc County female runner this season.
She beat out last week’s top runner, Reedsville Senior Allena O’Connell, by a whopping 45 seconds.
Fellow Shipbuilder Charlie Drossart was the fastest female freshman in the county for the third week in a row, while Two Rivers’ Allie Gallagher was the top sophomore runner for the fourth time this season.
As for the guys, Mishicot’s Greyson Armbruster topped all Sophomores for back-to-back weeks, while Manitowoc Lincoln’s Brendan Streeter took over the top spot among all freshmen.
