Nonprofits in the Sheboygan area are teaming up to aid in the healthy development of children throughout the community.
The Sheboygan County Community Partnership for Children and the United Way are joining together to offer free Developmental Screening Days on Thursday (October 16th) and Friday (October 17th).
The screenings will be held at Generations in Plymouth with various open spots available.
They will be open to children ages six months to five years and give parents and caregivers a way to check up on how their child is growing, learning, and developing.
Major areas of focus during the screenings will include communication, problem-solving skills, personal and social skills, and fine and gross motor skills.
When discussing the importance of these screenings, the United Way of Sheboygan County noted, “Parenting doesn’t come with a manual. So screenings are a great opportunity to ask questions and learn about local resources that support your child’s healthy development.”
Again, these screenings will be free; however, appointments are required.
Those looking to register for an appointment can do so by visiting familyresourcesheboygan.org.
