
The Seven Rivers Soil Cooperative is inviting farmers, agricultural professionals, and the public to learn more about cover crops and low-disturbance manure injection (LDMI).
The organization is hosting a multi-location event across the county known as “Roots & Residue: Cover Crop & LDMI Tour” on Tuesday, October 22nd, which will be free for all attendees.
The tour is designed to equip attendees with practical, innovative strategies to enhance soil fertility, reduce erosion, and maximize farm efficiency.
Guests will hear directly from local farmers and regional experts who are successfully implementing these practices.
The event will be held at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center from 11:30 to 12:45, Cedar Springs Dairy, located at 2001 Hillview Road in Mishicot, from 1:00 to 1:30, and the Don Rabitz Farm, located at 15434 Rabitz Road in Mishicot, from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m.
Box lunches will be provided, and additional location, presenter details, and times are listed on the registration website.
