A six-month-long road construction project in Sheboygan County is just weeks away from being finished.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has said that the closure on Highway 32 will continue this week between County Road V and Sheboygan Falls, but work is on schedule to be completed by the end of the month.
This week, crews will begin installing centerline rumble strips and start shoulder operations while continuing the installation of guardrails along the entire length of the project.
Last week, contractors completed the final box culvert restoration just south of County Road N and finished placing the final portion of new asphalt.
While the closure remains in place, all properties and businesses in the work zone are accessible. Originally, the project completion date was set for October 31st, and with work winding down, this looks to be accurate.
In the meantime, motorists are still asked to utilize Interstate 43 and County Road V while 32 is closed.
