
The Manitowoc County Historical Society will discuss taverns during its next Hungry for History series program.
“Tavern Tales of the Old Northwest” will take place on Wednesday, October 22nd, at Branch Station in Whitelaw, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with doors opening at 4:30 p.m.
Guests will be taken along as presenters share unusual, curious, and fascinating stories of early taverns in Manitowoc County and nearby communities.
People interested in attending must be registered with the historical society before arrival.
Tickets are $35, but historical society members receive a 15% discount. Anyone with dietary restrictions is asked to mark them down when registering online.
The menu for this Hungry for History series will feature a beef brisket sandwich accompanied by calico beans and a pickle spear.
