The Manitowoc Police Department is looking to raise money for an annual holiday-themed community support program.
Every year, the department works with several local families in need and takes the children shopping for Christmas presents in a program known as Shop with a Cop.
The goal this year is to adopt 25 families through a partnership with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Manitowoc County Drug Treatment Court, but that will not come cheap.
The cost per family is estimated to be around $200, and with help from the community, the Manitowoc Police Department believes it will be able to reach that goal.
Donations can be dropped off at the Manitowoc Police Department, located on Quay Street in Downtown Manitowoc.
Checks should be made out to MPPA Shop with a Cop.
