A convicted killer from Green Bay has accepted a plea deal in a separate case.
Court documents show that 27-year-old Taylor Schabusiness was in court yesterday (October 8th) for a motion hearing.
Going into the hearing, Schabusiness was facing one felony count of Battery by Prisoner for an incident that took place at Taycheedah Correctional Institution, where she is serving a life sentence for the killing and dismembering of Shad Thyrion.
However, a plea deal was reached, which saw that the felony offense was downgraded to a misdemeanor count of Disorderly Conduct.
The 27-year-old accepted the deal after a no-contest plea and has been convicted of the lone amended charge she faced.
Per a criminal complaint, last year, Schabusiness lunged at a corrections officer after she needed to get a staple out of her arm.
It was reported that she was holding a metal tray at the time and was pepper-sprayed in an effort to subdue her.
Schabusiness will return to a Fond du Lac County courtroom for her sentencing hearing on December 1st at 1:30 p.m.
