A long-time repair shop in Sheboygan is set to embark on a major expansion next week.
Van Wyk Auto will be hosting a grand opening ceremony on November 1st for their new 13-bay service facility located at 4040 Enterprise Drive on Sheboygan’s north side.
The family-owned repair shop’s new facility will double the shop’s capacity, significantly enhance wait times, increase service efficiency, and establish Van Wyk Auto as the largest independent auto repair shop in Sheboygan County.
It will also create new jobs for technicians and support staff in a modern and welcoming environment.
The business was originally founded as Doug’s Auto Service in 1977, and Ben Wyk took ownership of the company in 2019.
Doug’s Auto has remained intact, but thanks to steady growth over the years with Ben at the helm, a second location was opened in 2020 under the Van Wyk Auto name.
When discussing what this expansion means for him and his customers, Ben said, “We’ve always built our reputation on honesty, reliability, and family values. With this expansion, we can serve more families and businesses while maintaining the same small-town trust our customers depend on.”
While the grand opening ceremony takes place on November 1st, Van Wyk Auto will begin operations at its new 4040 Enterprise Drive location on October 15th.
