Demonstrators gathered in Milwaukee on Wednesday to oppose the deployment of National Guard troops to Chicago.
Troops from Texas arrived at a training site near Chicago on Tuesday and are reportedly on standby.
The protest, led by the group “Hands Off Chicago,” aimed to express solidarity with residents in Chicago.
A broader nationwide demonstration, called “No Kings,” is scheduled for October 18th.
