
A weapons call in Green Bay ends with one man arrested.
The Green Bay Police Department was called to the 2100 block of Basten Street near Danz Park after getting a report of a person armed with a weapon.
When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old and a 56-year-old man who reported non-life-threatening injuries and told police that the 77-year-old suspect fled into a nearby wooded area in possession of multiple weapons.
Green Bay Police deployed the SWAT Team, a K9 Unit, and the Crisis Negotiation Team to assist at the scene.
Just before 8:00 p.m., the suspect was found attempting to flee officers and was taken into custody near N. Danz Avenue and Basten Street.
Multiple streets in the area that were temporarily closed were reopened, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
