Aloyce “Al” R. Seidl, age 81, of rural Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County following a courageous battle with cancer and with his loving family by his side.
Al was born on January 8, 1944, in Manitowoc, a son of the late John and Mayme (Kohlmann) Seidl. He was a 1962 graduate of Mishicot High School. Al survived in the United States Air Force from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1967. On May 24, 1969, Al was married to Judy A. Hutterer at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. Over the years, Al worked as a dairy farmer on his family farm and retired from Parker Hannifin in 2008.
Al was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek, where he served his parish as a funeral Mass server, lector, and distributor of Holy Communion. He took pride in his woodworking and yardwork and enjoyed occasional visits to the casino. Al was an avid sports fan and looked forward to his monthly coffee gatherings with his high school friends. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife: Judy Seidl; four children: Chris (Dave) Lensmeyer, Gary (Tammy) Seidl, Tracie (Doug) Dokey, Holly (Jay) Steuer; grandchildren: Jared Lensmeyer (fiancée Anna Peterman), Alex Lensmeyer (significant other Maisie Stecker), Alison and Payton Seidl, Stephanie Dokey (fiancée Logan Robinson), Maddie Dokey (significant other Ridge Guyette), Ben Steuer; two brothers and four sisters-in-law: John (Joan) Seidl, Dennis (Phyllis) Seidl, Joannie Seidl, Kathy Seidl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Darrell Hutterer, Dale Hutterer and his special friend Ellen Vander Bloomen, Margaret Hutterer, Tom Peroutka; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Mayme Seidl; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Clarence and Dorothy Hutterer; two brothers: Ronald Seidl, Fredric Seidl; three sisters-in-law: Myrna Seidl, Bonnie Peroutka, Kathy Hutterer; two brothers-in-law: Dan Hutterer, Dave Hutterer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Leo Kondru will Celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment at the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Military Honors will be accorded at the church following Mass by the Kubale-O’Connell VFW Post #6179 of Kellnersville.
