The trial has begun for a Fond du Lac teenager charged with shooting and killing someone in 2023.
Court records show that the 10-day jury trial of 16-year-old Parise Larry Jr. began yesterday (October 6th).
Larry Jr. has been charged with 17 offenses, which include First-Degree Reckless Homicide, two counts of Attempted First-Degree Intentional Homicide, and eight counts of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety for an incident that took place in May of 2023.
Larry Jr and fellow teenager Antonio Johnson are accused of shooting and killing 20-year-old Tatyanna Zech and injuring two others outside the Maplewood Commons Apartments.
In the days after the shooting, investigators in Fond du Lac confirmed that one of the other individuals who was shot was the intended victim of what was described as a targeted attack, which came as a result of a previous conflict with others at the apartment complex.
Zech, on the other hand, was caught in the crossfire.
Court records also show that the 16-year-old is also facing an additional charge of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in a separate case.
