
Three men have been arrested for bringing cocaine to Manitowoc County to sell.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office announced that Arturo Vara, Juan Villareall, and Herbart Harrison of San Antonio, Texas, were arrested after a month-long joint investigation done by the Manitowoc County Drug Unit and the DEA of Green Bay.
The department says Vara, Villarreal, and Harrison would take cocaine from Texas to Manitowoc County for distribution.
Investigators conducted a deal with the men to bring eight kilograms of cocaine.
The three were then arrested on October 1st after returning to the county.
Law enforcement also seized 20 pounds of cocaine, stolen firearms, and methamphetamine.
All three are being held in the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine as a repeater.
At the same time, Vara is also charged with possession of meth, and Harrison has an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Harrison and Villareal were given a $750,000 cash bail, while Vara was given a $500,000 cash bail.
The Manitowoc County Drug Unit was also assisted in the investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Manitowoc and Sheboygan County SWAT Teams, the City of Manitowoc Police, and the Two Rivers Fire Department.
