A Sheboygan County man recently convicted of sexually assaulting a child has appeared in court on new charges in Manitowoc County.
Court records show that 46-year-old John P. Albright, the former Sheboygan Falls Assistant Fire Chief, made his initial appearance yesterday (October 6th).
In Manitowoc County, Albright has been charged with First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child for incidents that took place in 1997 and 1994, respectively.
Yesterday’s initial appearance was adjourned early as the 46-year-old is still seeking a public defender, but he was given a $20,000 cash bond.
However, he will not be able to furnish his bond as he is currently serving a 13-year prison sentence in Sheboygan County after being convicted of one count of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in June earlier this year.
While few details are available regarding the new child sexual assault charges in Manitowoc County, his previous conviction came after he sexually assaulted a child under the age of 16.
Albright will return to court for his adjourned initial appearance on October 13th.
