
For a third straight year, Manitowoc Lutheran and St. Mary Catholic meet to likely decide the Big East Red Division girls’ volleyball champion.
Both teams are 5-0 in conference play and have been relatively dominant in their performances.
Last year, the Lancers defeated the Zephyrs in five tough sets at Lancer Circle, while two years ago, St. Mary Catholic defeated Manitowoc Lutheran in four sets.
The match on the Zephyr’s home court in Fox Crossing is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Elsewhere, Manitowoc Lincoln looks to keep its FRCC conference title hopes alive as the Ships head to Bay Port to battle the Pirates in a huge FRCC match.
Both teams, along with De Pere, are tied atop the FRCC at 5-0; however, Bay Port has been a thorn in the Ships’ side recently, having defeated them twice last year and ending their run of winning three straight conference titles.
Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
A pair of “Pink Out” matches is scheduled to raise awareness and funds to help eradicate breast cancer.
They include Two Rivers at Kiel and Hilbert hosts Reedsville.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan Lutheran heads across town to battle Sheboygan Christian, while Sheboygan North hosts Notre Dame. New Holstein heads to Sheboygan Falls, Howards Grove plays at Random Lake, and Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah is home to Kohler. Oostburg visits Ozaukee, and Kewaunee is at Peshtigo.
Also, Southern Door hosts Algoma, Sevastopol hosts Gibraltar, Green Bay NEW Lutheran travels to Oconto, Pulaski entertains Green Bay Preble, Ashwaubenon is at Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay East hosts Xavier (Appleton), Winneconne visits Green Bay West, De Pere plays at West De Pere, Luxemburg Casco travels to Oconto Falls, Freedom hosts Wrightstown and Little Chute heads to Waupaca to battle the Comets.
