The Two Rivers City Council has three options for the future of the Neshotah Beach Concessions Stand.
During their work session last week, the council considered options for minimum updates, major interior reconfiguration, and a completely new building.
Minimum updates would include installing a drop ceiling with new lighting, covering exposed interior walls, and adding a three-compartment sink to meet current health requirements.
The second option would involve a significantly larger interior renovation that would substantially expand capabilities at the concessions stand, including doubling restroom capacity and adding individual changing rooms to better serve beach visitors.
The concession stand would also include a more diverse menu and food service options, which could mean a new hood system or a new fryer for fried foods.
The last, and most expensive option, would be to demolish the concessions stand and completely redesign the building for a dedicated indoor rental space, along with new restrooms and upgraded concession sales.
It would also provide the city with the possibility to generate $40,000 to $60,000 a year from sales.
No action was taken on any of the plans.
Discussions on the concessions stand have been a part of the Neshotah Beach master plan for improvement.
