Road work in Sheboygan County is beginning to wind down.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced that all roadwork on Highway 28 in the Village of Cascade has been completed, and the roadway has been fully reopened to traffic.
This comes after nearly six months of work as part of an extensive bridge replacement project.
However, Highway 32 remains closed and detoured between County Road V and Sheboygan Falls.
This week, asphalt will continue to be placed between V and 28, while guardrails will be installed north of V.
Motorists are still asked to use I-43 and County Road V during the closure.
Weekly maintenance will also cause closures on I-43 later in the week. (October 9th).
Crews will be repairing cable guards in the north and southbound lanes between Weeden Creek Road and Wilson Lima Road.
Work is scheduled to take place on Thursday (October 9th) and Friday (October 10th) between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and a moving lane closure will be used during repairs.
