Budget time is just around the corner for Manitowoc County.
County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer explained on the WCUB Breakfast Club that his 2026 budget proposal will be sent to the Board of Supervisors tomorrow (October 7th).
It will then work its way through the county’s committees.
“County board committees will be dissecting my budget proposal,” he noted. “And they will pass a budget for 2026 on November 4th and be done with it.”
Materials for the upcoming budget will be posted online, and a public hearing on the budget will be held on October 27, prior to its approval in November.
Some parts of the budget will also include a five-year plan for road construction.
