A Green Bay woman accused of stabbing someone to death has returned to court.
Court documents show that 46-year-old Tonia Piontek was back inside a Brown County courtroom yesterday (October 2nd) for a status conference.
Piontek has been charged with one count of First-Degree Intentional Homicide with the use of a dangerous weapon following a fatal altercation involving a kitchen knife earlier this year.
At yesterday’s hearing, a plea hearing was scheduled for December after the 46-year-old previously pled not guilty to the charge in July.
Pointek was arrested on April 13th after Green Bay Police were called to the 1300 block of Smith Street for a weapons complaint.
Authorities arrived to find an unnamed 41-year-old Green Bay man on the floor who was unresponsive after suffering a stab wound to the chest.
Life-saving measures were rendered; however, the man would later be pronounced dead.
The ensuing investigation revealed that the two individuals got into a domestic disturbance, which resulted in the 41-year-old’s death.
Piontek is currently being held in the Brown County jail on a $1 million cash bond and will return to court for her plea hearing on December 22nd.
