A previously convicted child sex offender from Oshkosh will be going to federal prison for additional crimes against children.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced in May that a five-count indictment had been issued against 52-year-old David E. Dejanovich.
The indictment alleged that Dejanovich engaged in the Receipt of Obscene Visual Depictions of the Sexual Abuse of Children in April 2024.
He was also charged with one count of Receipt of Child Pornography, as well as for knowingly doing so despite being on the state sex offender registry.
These federal charges came after the 52-year-old was previously convicted in Dodge County for First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in separate cases.
The Oshkosh Police Department has since shared that Dejanovich pled guilty to all five federal charges he faced on Tuesday (October 1st) and has been sentenced to spend 28 years behind bars.
This case was investigated by the Oshkosh PD with the assistance of the United States Office of Probation and Parole located in Green Bay.
